The people polled recently gave only 4.48 points out of the total 10 for a 1.5-year achievement as the government's head of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, according to a recent poll by Bangkok University (BU), the Bangkok Post's website reported on Wednesday.
The given grade was down 0.22 points from the survey conducted by the pollsters after Abhisit had taken office for one year, according to the BU poll.
On the question whether Abhisit's achievement was in line with their expectation, 30.6 percent of the respondents said yes, 29.6 percent of them disagreed, and 12.3 percent said more than expected.
The people polled also gave 3.79 points out of ten for the government's overall performance over the 18 months period, the BU poll said.
Asked about the top three most favorite ministries, the respondents said the Ministry of Education for its 15-year free education policy, followed by the Ministry of Finance for its policy to tackle the outside-financial-system debts of poor people, tax break and offering for sales of government saving bonds.

The Ministry of Tourism and Sports took the 3rd place for its tourism stimulus measures and sports promotion policy.
For the performances of political parties, the people polled gave 4.21 points to the ruling Democrat Party, 3.26 points for other coalition partners and 3.36 points for the leading opposition Puea Thai Party.
The poll involved 1,395 people from all regions and was conducted on June 17 to 20.
